Professor James Terry is the Dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences. He is a professor in geosciences and has co-authored over 100 scientific publications.  He currently serves on the editorial boards of Natural Hazards and Geoscience Letters, both published by Springer Nature.

Professor James Terry has over three decades of research experience in geomorphology, climatology and hydrology.  His main interests include behaviour and impacts of natural hazards in the Asia–Pacific and Arabian–Mediterranean regions. His work focuses on coastal hazards such as tsunamis and tropical cyclones.
